As night came, all that could be heard was the cracking of a flame in the fire. It was the middle of winter, and the white snow was covering everything in sight. As I looked at the frozen pool, memories came of everyone swimming during the summer. Tomorrow, Christmas would be celebrated. However, a massive plague broke out recently, and everyone hoped for the illness to subside soon. So everyone can be cheerful, joyful, and unconcerned about death. “All I want for Christmas is for Mom to get well,”I wished while blowing out the small candle beside my cozy bed.
“Molly!” Aunt Frieda called from inside. “Coming!” I called, lost in my thoughts. My mom is on vacation and left me with my Aunt Freita in her haunted house. Also, there are rumors that this house has a secret passage. Finally, I obeyed. The next morning, I woke up late and went to the kitchen: no breakfast. Something was wrong. Then, I heard a noise in the next room; my aunt was chained up! I got to her in aghast. As the door slammed, I knew that I was locked in the room, hoping the neighbors could be our benefactors.
“Jack!” called Annie, as they played hide-and-seek. When she found him, she said, “Jack, it is midnight! We need to go to bed.” “Just one more game?” asked Jack. “Ok, one more game,” said Annie. So Jack went to hide in the back of the yard where a stream flowed, rapidly. “Ahhhhhh!” Annie heard and went running to the scream. “Jack? Jack. Jack!” Annie shouted but heard no response. In the morning, she set out to find him but found nothing. Until she went to the stream and saw legs and boots sticking out of the water, he was dead.
As the crisp air whirled around me. The familiar sound of cars rushing by was all I could hear until the intense sound of a car pushing on the brakes and crashing; most of the drivers stopped to see the expensive car and call for help. I saw that the car’s important parts flew almost five yards each direction. As I went closer to the irreparable car, lots of phones were taking pictures in the darkness with their flash on. The flashes were as surprising as the driver. The driver was a black dog, and the dog was wearing glasses.
It was a warm morning. The beautiful song of the purple birds’ tweets filled the air. Lots of professors walked by me on their morning walk. I walked to the lake and sat on the soft grass to watch the shining lake water. As I was going to close my eyes, the birds stopped and everything became quiet. So, I stood to see a log in the lake, going towards me. As it came closer, I could tell it was a crocodile. Its twisted tail caught my attention, and it was difficult to run in the other direction.

My favorite color is turquoise. There are several animals that I like such as dogs, horses, hedgehogs, and peacocks. However, my favorite animal is the panda since they are fluffy, lazy, and adorable. My favorite dog breed is the Yorkie. In my opinion, Yorkies are the cutest thing. On my spare time, I enjoy drawing and doodling to whatever comes to my mind. I also love to be indoors especially in the summer and winter when the weather is too hot or too cold. I listen to piano classical music while I do my homework so I will not get stressed. My favorite piece of music is Für Elise by Beethoven. This type of music is soothing and calming. In addition, on my spare time, I like to read books. My favorite book is My Life In Pink and Green by Lisa Greenwald. My favorite food is tamales. I especially like the ones my grandma makes.
There are three things that I dislike doing. First, it is sports such as baseball, football and soccer. Second, it is the outdoors when it is hot and humid. Third, I dislike waking up early for school. Nevertheless, I do enjoy sleeping in and start reading a book in bed.
